I was hesitant to agree to attend this….I didn’t know anything about it, and sing alongs aren’t my thing since my tonsils got removed (don’t ask-I don’t understand why I lost my singing voice after a tonsillectomy either). But I decided to go for it.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again….I am NOT a MUA. I don’t have the skills, the education, the training or the technique. But darn it, I certainly try! The majority of the time that I have an event to attend that requires more dramatic makeup, I enlist the services of a professional. It’s just the ‘right’ thing to do.

One of the many ‘perks’ of living in Canada as an American are days off for no reason. In Canada, these days are titled “Civic Holidays.” My company observes these days-so who am I to argue about having them right?
