Decorating has always escaped me…..and now that I’ve moved into my first home, it’s time to do a little home decor 101!
Oh girls…..I must tell you about probably one of the most awesome giveaways ever.
NailPolishCanada.com is giving away a lifetime supply of Shellac.
Yes you read correctly. Let me bold the same sentence for more impact-as if you needed any….
NailPolishCanada.com is giving away a lifetime supply of Shellac!
Real quickly…if you don’t know what Shellac is (although I constantly rave about it)
CND Shellac is a cross between nail polish and gel. Shellac is applied like regular nail polish and then cured using a UV lamp.
Shellac lasts much longer than your regular manicure; up to 14 days without chipping or peeling. Dry time is instant, making the application process fast and ensuring your polish doesn’t smudge.
The giveaway/entry (and contest rules) form is here and all you have to do is state why winning would impact you for better or for worse. It won’t take you more than 5 minutes because I know if you’re still reading you’ve already come up with 13741385 reasons why winning would make your millenium!
Good luck everyone!
I recently attended a Burt’s Bees Event at 889 Yonge. I really loved the concept of this event-a nice early start with some recharge yoga, breakfast and a presentation from Burt’s Bees.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I’ll be the first to say it.
Spring is upon us…..and among the official pack-the-winter-clothes-bring-out-the-summer-clothes is a long list of beauty related items There’s the teeth whitening, the hair lightening & brightening, the bronzing, and the facials. So it’s not a surprise that my feet get pushed to the bottom of this list (gasp). I mean, they’re at the bottom of my body right? Who’s going to notice the rough heels, and jagged nails? And why oh why do all spring/summer shoes have to be cute, strappy sandals?
Upon my new found love for peep toe, slingback heels, I thought I would be a bit more pro-active. I recently had a Caribbean Therapy pedicure at SITAMAA Day Spa and my feet have been singing my praises ever since! I don’t have to remind you of my love for SITAMAA though do I? You’ve read my blog post about it, correct?
(you’ll feel like you are in the picture above)
This pedicure isn’t just your standard soak, file, lotion-oh no no. This pedicure is 1 hour and 15 minutes! What happens during that time, you ask? Well, the treatment is performed using all the Caribbean therapy products from the soak, exfoliation, masque and massage cream! I even got to go home with an Aveda Caribbean therapy exfoliator and a Bath bar! YES please!
Again, you know of my love for SITAMAA Day Spa-they have a great philosophy, to perform all treatments with TRUTH LOVE and COMPASSION, and that’s how I felt during this hour and fifteen minutes of PURE ISLAND BLISS!! And I want to share this with you….

Sunday evenings are my night to indulge in all my skin treatments-to include masks, hand & foot care, deep conditioning, and most definitely exfoliation. I am what I would call a ‘traditional’ exfoliator. I get my apricot scrub, get in the shower, scrub my body from head to toe, spend time rinsing it all off, and away I go.
I was scrolling through my twitter timeline not too long ago and came upon the LeEdge exfoliation tool. It looks like this:
And another angle:
Here’s what the website says:
The Le Edge exfoliation tool has a patented “higher than surgical grade” stainless steel gentle edge that removes the top layer of dead skin revealing the younger vibrant living skin beneath. Design based on the ancient skin care tool, the strigil, Le Edge recalls a time when skin care was all natural without the use of chemicals
Ergonomically designed for easy use by all hand sizes, the handle of the Le Edge exfoliator comes with a rubber grip for “non-slip” use in shower or bath. Use Le Edge as a pre-shave to lift ingrown hairs away from the skin, to help with tie rash and other shaving conditions. Use Le Edge to remove your old instant tan application and to exfoliate in preparation for your new tanning session. Exfoliating before waxing or shaving your body helps to even out the skin’s surface allowing for a smoother shave. Use Le Edge exfoliating tool as part of your pedicure routine to maintain clean and beautiful feet.
I have used LeEdge for approximately 2 weeks. I use it mainly before shaving my legs, as I have ingrown hairs. LeEdge takes care of all of that without me having to apply an exfoliating scrub, and rinse it off. I find that I have a smoother shave with longer lasting results. I have also used it on my heels to get rid of my rough dry skin-but I prefer to use my foot file on my feed in the shower.
LeEdge is definitely an interesting tool. I like the idea of being able to skip the scrub, and this definitely works to lift the ingrown hairs. Of course it’s pain free. It’s in my shower and has gotten into my ‘treatment day’ rotation. Granted, I still use my scrub but I don’t use it if I am going to shave immediately after. LeEdge takes care of that for me and produces similar results.
LeEdge has generously offered me an exfoliating tool for one lucky Canadian reader to try! Please complete the Rafflecopter widget in order to enter. Canadian residents only!
