Even though ingredients aren’t necessarily a ‘make it or break it’ item for me, I thought it would be important to post about a Canadian line of products that pays EXTRA attention to ingredients! Ella’s Botanicals is a Toronto-based all natural body care brand known for handmade clean and green products. They have recently made *key* modifications to their lotion formulas, making themselves even ‘greener’!
Ever since discovering Sorbet Verbena this summer, I have a new-found appreciation for L’OCCITANE en Provence. Not only are their products wonderfully scented, they actually WORK!!! Long gone are my days of constantly re-applying lotion and hand cream-I can apply these once and I’m good until the end of the day!
I work in an office in an administration capacity. I handle a lot of paper, do a lot of typing, and occasionally talk on the phone. So of course my hands get dry. I have used MANY MANY MANY different types of hand creams. They all seem to work at first (especially when I have a paper cut-OWWWW), but I find many of them leave me wanting more. They’re either too runny, too thick, don’t absorb well, or absorb too fast. Before I know it, I’m dry again and needing to re-apply.
One of the things I absolutely loathe at the end of the day is taking off my eye makeup. I used to feel like this particular “chore” goes on forever and that even after I am “done”, there’s still makeup there-taunting and teasing me. Q-tip after Q-tip, cotton pad after cotton pad-I have found myself emptying the trash more frequently.
I recently attended a Burt’s Bees Event at 889 Yonge. I really loved the concept of this event-a nice early start with some recharge yoga, breakfast and a presentation from Burt’s Bees.
IF YOU HAVE NOT GOTTEN YOURSELF TO THIS SALE, GET THERE ALREADY!
Lately, B&BW has been sending me a lot of emails with coupons. I am glad I take the time to skim them-because when I got the one about the semi-annual sale, I saw the $3.00 classic fragrances ad and thought I would take a look. Glad I did, check it out:
Items purchased from the Semi-Annual Sale at Bath and Body Works
Granted, Black Amethyst is not my favorite B&BW scent, but it’s still pretty nice. Now, in total these products would have retailed for approximately $42.00. What did I pay for them? Drumroll……….
$7.50! Yes, under $10.00 for all 4 products!
Phenomenal!
Wait, why are you still reading this? Get over to the sale!
