Stay matte-apothekerri beauty blotting powder in 01 invisible

So if you haven’t read my post about Beauty al Fresco you should! I say this for several reasons, the main one being that the product being discussed in this post came from the Beauty al Fresco event!  Don’t worry, I’ll give you some time to check it out…..

All right so now that you HAVE read the Beauty al Fresco post, let’s get on with it.  One of my purchases at the event was the blotting powder in 01 invisible.  I saw Kerri use the powder on someone else, and didn’t think much of it.  It was more of an ‘impulse’ buy for me.  I am not a fan of any kind of  ‘pressed’ face powder-I find it hard to work with and prefer loose powders.  Especially if they are going on my face to ‘set’ my makeup or keep me matte (versus shiny or ‘dewy’).

So I didn’t think much of it when I pulled this powder out on a casual Friday (work-wise).  I figured, hey if I don’t like it, I have my “work makeup stash” and I will just fix it.

Now I know what you are thinking-big deal….there are many many powders similiar to this on the market.

However, this powder has not only passed my test -it’s what I have been using for the last week and a half.  Here’s why:

1.  It’s pressed but is easily picked up with a brush

2.  It doesn’t leave a ‘chalky’ effect on my face

3.  It lasts and truly mattifies

I was quite shocked (and a little humbled) by this product. Whatever is in the blotting powder really works-and works well.  It’s nice to not have an oil slick on my face!

Thanks Kerri-I love this!

Hey loving your new blog layout! When did this happen? Or am I just slow???

Ahhh a mattifying blotting powder – I need that! Awesome that it doesn’t leave that white stuff on your face! This is always an issue for me.

Miss E you are not slow…I just changed the layout and thank you for the compliment!

you would like this powder….I have a lot of issues with other powders. Mostly making me look like a ghost-I hate that chalky look. This doesn’t do that. The other thing about Kerri’s powder is it lasts a very long time. I really don’t need to touch up during the day….I am very pleased!

Awesome! I’m a firm believer that you can never have too many pressed powders. Great post, Meredith 🙂 Love your new layout!

Lacey-thank you so much for your compliment…credit where credit is due…I owe it to my other half.

I actually wasn’t ever a fan of pressed powder. However, apothekerri products just seem to work really well for me! I like that!
