Now appearing on YouTube…..

Meredith, this is fantastic. You’re definitely a natural at this, esp since this is your 1st video. You should continue with videos for sure – make way for the next beauty guru??!! The only suggestion I have so far is to let your camera focus on your product (ie. product name, label, etc) before moving on. I see a lot of youtubers use their other hand as a “wall” for the product (ie. cover the scenery) to help the camera focus easier.

@Cherry thanks for watching/for your feedback! I agree with the “hand wall” suggestion. I was using the SLR camera on a tripod. I may use HD webcam next time and do the video indoors.

Thanks for all the positive stuff too-I have a couple of ideas in the works, hopefully it will “pan” out-get it ? Pan-like pan the camera….lol. Ha haha I am so funny.

  • Anjali

Yayyyy!!! Congrats on your first video!!! You really appear comfortable in front of the camera – can’t wait to see more.
I have a video post coming up soon – hope I can be just as cool and calm as you 🙂

@Anjali-thanks a lot. I am sure your video will rock-so hurry up and post it already 🙂 Well, do the video first of course.

  • Kerri

I stand behind the Twitter comments I made last night, as well as fully agree with both Cherry and Anjali. You look completely poised without being too stiff or formal, which makes you more engaging to watch. You also clearly know your s#!t.

    Well done, lady. Well done!

@Kerri thanks! So when do we film a video featuring apotheKerri?

  • Shivani

You were so relaxed in front of the camera!! I really enjoyed watching you talk, you were such a natural. Looking forward to more of these 🙂

    • meredith

@Shivani thank you so much for the compliment! I am hoping to do some more videos-I have a few ideas, but if there’s anything you would like to see me talk about, let me know!

  • Laura Lashes

Congrats Meredith! Vlogs are great…I’ll send you a link to one I was recently part of. Lighting outside is difficult if the weather isn’t cooperating, but you ARE a natural in front of the camera…and did I see something sparkly still above your left eye 😉

@Laura agreed-outdoor lighting can make you or break you (Shop talk already-ha). I just wanted to put a little ‘tester’ up to see if I could actually pull it off.

Vlogs are a good thing-I am hoping I will get better and better at mine as time goes on.

Let’s catch up soon…been too long already!
