ME to W.E.-L’Oréal Paris Canada whisks me away to TIFF!

L’Oréal Paris Canada has been nothing but good to me.  Seriously.

I was the incredibly lucky/fortunate recipient of a makeover from L’Oréal Paris Canada (Eric DelMonaco and Eddie Malter) and 2 tickets to the TIFF screening of Madonna’s movie, W.E.

Paying attention to Twitter definitely helps….the universe was smiling upon me!  I happened to catch a tweet mentioning that the first person to show up at a specified location would get the tickets so I hauled some rear-end there.  Losing that weight really helped-ha ha.

So, I don’t have many photos of the actual makeover but it was similar to my Luminato experience.  Here are the ‘afters’; the makeup and hair are never less than stunning.

Eddie Malter knows how to do a smokey eye….my makeup looked incredible.  Check it out:

The hair actually reminds me of Madonna in her ‘Borderline’ and ‘Lucky Star’ video.  I absolutely loved it!  Eric did a fantastic job!

Add to that a LBD and here we go:

Channeling Audrey Hepburn a tad perhaps? Pink clutch and opaque tights to finish it off!

and from the back!

Away we went… the screening of  Madonna’s movie, W.E.

Yes, that's Madonna at the podium!

Oh haaaiiiiiiiii Madonna!

The film was great-it made me want to know more about the Duchess of Windsor.  I had such a good time at the screening!

Thank you L’Oréal Paris Canada for making me feel beautiful and giving me the chance to see this film!

*sigh* Have you ever had a ‘red carpet‘ moment?

Do you like getting your hair and makeup done?

Wow, what a great night. You look awesome.
I went to LG fashion week last year and went backstage and met Eddie and Eric. They were so nice, whereas some makeup artists could have been all “umm we’re running a fashion show here, piss off” 🙂

    • meredith

@Alicia agreed. I was fortunate enough to meet Eric & Eddie at Luminato and have been dreaming of having another opportunity to meet them again. I got my wish! What a night!
      Thanks for your compliment 🙂

  • Cherry

what a model. That makeup is pretty wicked. Hair is so glam, but I betcha it took a while to take all that hairspray out. I can’t believe you were at arms reach to a celeb.

    • meredith

@Cherry-thanks girl! It was awesome to be so close (and it won’t happen again I bet).

The L’Oreal Paris Canada page on Facebook has the makeover photos up! Check it out!

I did….and are you famous now or what?

        • meredith

          @Cherry famous? NO…….Infamous? perhaps.

  • Anjali

    Luckyyyyy!!!!!! You looked amazing 🙂
What a great contest L’Oreal hosted – you deserved it!

    • meredith

@Anjali they certainly made me feel beautiful! Thanks!

  • Kelly

Wow, so lucky!! Gorgeous makeup & hair! Love the dress too! Where’d you get it?

    • meredith

@Kelly-the dress is actually Mexx. It fit me so well I knew I had to buy it. Clothing is a struggle for me because almost all of my clothing has to be tailored to fit me properly (boy do I have weight stories to tell YOU).

  • Janine . BEAUTYGEEKS

I was gobsmacked when Gina told me you were the winner! AMAZING! I’m sorry we didn’t get much of a chance to chat! And you’re right, Eddie knows how to do a smoky eye!

I love that you got a photo during the intros in the theatre. See that cel phone held up in the middle of the podium? It’s mine!

How was the movie? And do you work close to First Canadian Place?? (Boy, you have a great answer if anyone ever says to you “I don’t see the point of Twitter.”)

    • meredith

@Janine….I was sooooooooooooooo happy. And also gobsmacked when I was told you were coming to meet me!! AAAAH-you’re like my idol (not being cheesy, I really do look up to you!). I know you are super busy now-so don’t worry about not talking. And I missed the intros (due to the other half not ironing his shirt-he thought it would be okay if he just unfolded it. NOT.), so thank you for having that hand up!

I felt so amazing and was hoping that someday I would have the chance to have Eddie & Eric work with me again. *sigh* so dreamy!

Thanks for the compliment on the dress-its one of two items in my entire lifetime that I have not had tailored!

Talk soon!!! Hang in there-you’re doing a great job on the red carpet!

  • Janine . BEAUTYGEEKS

    Also, love your dress!

  • Ande

You looked stunning! Loved everything! I was crossing my fingers for you while reading the tweets. Then you had us wondering if you had won cause no ferrying for hours! Lol I’m so happy for you! And little jealous. Did you look into Madonna’s eyes, keep hearing her strange requests.

    • meredith

@Ande I so wanted to write you back but my phone died!!! Thank you for sending the good energy my way.

  • missmarisol

You look gorgeous. And being so close to Madonna.Gah!

    • meredith

@missmarisol I will never be that close to her again. It was great!

  • Donna Marie

How awesome is that! You’re sooo lucky and you look FANTABULOUS!!!!

    • meredith

      @DonnaMarie I had a blast-thanks!

  • jenn

    • meredith

      @jenn thank you!!!

  • ElaineA

Holy cow girl, what an amazing prize!!! Man I wish I worked downtown, you would have been fighting me to get there LOL!!!

You looked amazing and so cool that you actually got to see Madonna, for REAL!!!!

I have never had a red carpet moment besides my wedding I guess….ummm I would probably trip and fall over myself 😛

    • meredith

@Elaine….it was a fantastic day/night. It felt like a dream! Madonna looked great!

Yes, we would’ve fought over the makeover. Guess now isn’t the time to mention that I got another makeover today from Eric and Eddie 😛
