Marie Natie All-Natural Lip Gloss

I am no stranger to lip gloss.  I have a lot of it.  Lip gloss is probably one of my ‘must-haves’ when it comes to daily makeup. I can skip lipstick, eyeshadow, brow pencil and even blush but I must have gloss.  I prefer gloss for several reasons but mainly because it’s much easier to apply-especially if you forgot your mirror which I do often.  It’s also more sheer and moisturizing.  However, there are some down sides to gloss…my main complaint is that it’s sticky.  I hate a sticky gloss-even if the color is FANTASTIC and to-die-for…..if it’s sticky, I’ll pass.

Recently I got to try some Marie Natie All Natural Lip Gloss.

Nearly Wild Marie Natie lip gloss

Noteables:

-Available in 12 shades

-All natural, preservative-free formula

-non sticky formula

-Natural oils deliver hydration, protective antioxidants

-Formulated without Parabens, Sulfates, Synthetic Fragrances, Synthetic Dyes, Petro-Chemicals, Phthalates

I also loved the ingredient list….all ingredients are things I can pronounce:

Jojoba oil, jojoba gel, pomegranate oil, sunflower seed oil, grapefruit see oil, candelila wax, carnauba wax, vitamin e, vitamin e acetate, mica, and essential oil.

Thoughts:

This is the gloss you will want in your ‘everyday’ pile.  It applies quite sheer, but provides beautiful shine.  Consistency is a definite plus-it is neither too thick or too thin.  I did feel that it was moisturizing and it truly is not sticky! This is ideal for both the ‘no makeup’ kind of gal (I’m sure we all have one of those in our lives) but also for someone who wants to add a layer of shine to their perfect lipstick.

One thing I will note.  The 2 sample glosses had a slight vanilla scent but the full size (Nearly wild) smelled terrible.  When I say ‘terrible’, I mean in a chemical way.  It almost smelled like someone had melted plastic in the microwave. I had to throw it away.   I’d like to think that was an isolated incident though-as the 2 mini’s smelled delightful.

Overall, if I needed gloss I would purchase this.  I appreciate companies that take the time to make products less toxic.  The gloss performs well and with 12 shades, there is a color for everyone!

Is that a Canadian product? I don’t believe I have seen it in the states; have to look for it. I would have returned the smelly lipgloss to the manufacturer. Most companies, or should I say GOOD companies, stand behind their product and WANT to know when something is not right. Chances are, they would have at least replaced the product. For what things cost nowadays, you should be able to recoup your loss somehow. 🙂

@Mama yes pretty sure it is. Happy to send you some if you want to try it out. I am actually through with one of my samples already. I like the consistency of the gloss-and the fact that it isn’t sticky is a huge bonus!
