Before I get too far into this post, I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation:
– To NailPolishCanada-for making (formerly) expensive and un-accessible polish available to Canadians. Your website is super easy to use and offers variety and selection second to none!
-To all the nail polish vloggers, bloggers, and product junkies that have really re-ignited my passion for polish. I get bio gel on my nails but always leave without polish from the salon because I’d rather pick up the polishes you all recommend. Just to name a few of my favorites (and if I didn’t mention you, please shout yourself out at the bottom of this post-it wasn’t intentional):
Please check out these vlogs/blogs because they will give you incredible insight into nail polish! They are so inspirational as well!
Okay-so after showing some people love, let me show some product love!
I’ve used Butter London before-and always thought it was good. What makes it BETTER (to me anyway) is the fact that they are kind of ‘branching out’ and embracing trends-specifically holographic polish.
According to Nail Polish Canada, the definition of holographic polish is as follows (and I’m posting this because I truly didn’t know how to describe this properly):
“Holographic polishes have the appearance of containing tiny rainbow coloured glitter that changes colour with the reflection of light; it’s rainbow effect is very obvious and beautiful in the sunlight and under bright lights.”
Butter London does NOT disappoint with their holographs-and the pictures I have do these polishes NO justice. They are beauties!

Trustafarian: A golden holographic finish gives this delightful sage green nail lacquer a surprising and sophisticated edge.

Dodgy Barnett-A highly holographic lacquer in a classic shade that blurs the line between grey and silver.
I didn’t think that these would be “wearable” but I was super surprised by how fantastic these polishes are. They are never ‘one’ color-they have a lot of depth and dimension, making them incredibly versatile and chic! These polishes aren’t limited to one season either-they will look great all year round!
If you don’t have any “holo” polish in your nail polish wardrobe, I highly recommend checking these out! If you’re new to holographic polish, maybe give the Trustafarian a try-it’s a bit more subtle!
I’m looking forward to writing more about my new-found-nail-polish-love and including some photos of me wearing the polish (sans jagged cuticles which I am sporting now and yes I’ll take tips/suggestions on how to get rid of that!).
Let me know what you think! Are you a butter London fan? What’s your take on holographic polish?
Don’t forget to shout yourself out at the bottom of this post if you have LOVE for polish and a blog or vlog! I’d love to read it!

How are the brushes on these polish? Are they easy to apply? This may surprise you, but I’ve actually heard of this line of polish … 😛
meredith

@Sparkled Beauty you are more than welcome. I am so impressed by the formulas-they’ve come a long way. I remember when I used to chip my polish the minute I left the salon. Now, my polish lasts for days! And so many options! Thanks for reading!

Dodgy Barnett is the first holographic polish I have tried and I love it. It’s mesmerized me from time to time – I’ll just stop and stare at my nails. So much depth and sparkle! Here’s my review (and photos) of it: http://beautysquared.blogspot.ca/2012/09/butter-london-fall-2012-dodgy-barnett.html
