My favorites from……essence!

I’ve got to put up a drugstore brand.  Essence has been a love of mine ever since it ‘landed’ in Canada several years ago.  I’m super impressed that nothing in the line is over $9.99 CAD.  LIKE SUPER IMPRESSED.

Essence has so many products to offer, that it’s nearly impossible to have tried everything….and they keep coming out with more new items and Limited Edition collections.  Below is a sampling of some of my favorites from the brand:

Let me begin with one of the limited edition items here, the Vintage District blush:

I fell for this blush immediately when I saw it in the display, simply based on design!  I was a tad worried about the coloring.  The gold overspray on the blush wears off to reveal a pretty deep coral but don’t let this scare you, the blush itself is quite sheer.  I swirl the lighter and darker colors together and find that this blush works best (for me) when I have some sun!

I recently spoke about this pen in one of my Sunday videos.  I absolutely love eyeliner pens and own several.   They can take some getting used to so my recommendation (if you are thinking about trying these) is to purchase this one.  It’s fantastic quality for a great price!

I love extreme crazy volume mascara

I love extreme crazy volume mascara

essence makes a darn good mascara if I do say so myself.  I own several of them and this is one of my newer favorites.  I like the mascara’s formula and brush and while I wouldn’t call the volume “crazy”, you WILL notice a difference.  The brand makes at least 5 different mascaras as well as waterproof and extended wear versions!

essence XXXL nude lip gloss

Want a serious lip gloss?? Get these!  Endless shades and decent stay power (unless you are drinking and eating all night).  I love this particular color because it’s a great layering gloss, but can also hold it’s own.

Not ready to “commit” to Touche Eclat from YSL (or have you grown to hate it like I do because of the limited shades?)  Well, you have options…although essence isn’t the only brand to make a highlighting pen, their version stands up quite well.

As far as brands go, I do recommend you check out essence. They have something for everyone and cater to many different age groups!  Let me know your essence favorites below!
