Honestly, sometimes nothing beats a bit of at-home pampering. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for the spa, but having the comforts of home is inviting, especially as winter makes it way towards The Great White North.
While I’m not a ‘beach-bum’, it is nice to reminisce about the warmer temperatures. Calgon 2 in 1 Shea Sugar Scrub is gentle enough to use every day and cleanses with sugar to exfoliate rough spots. It’s also infused with Shea butter to leave skin feeling soft. Follow that up with the Calgon skin nourishing body cream to soften dry, rough skin and hydrate. Both of these products are lightly scented-and I wish I could tell you that it’s authentic Hawaiian Ginger, but I don’t know what that smells like. It does smell ‘tropical’ with a floral note. I absolutely LOVE using scrubs that leave your skin soft and not ‘stripped’ dry. When I used the scrub, I was tempted to skip the body cream but know that since it’s getting cooler, that’s not an option (for me). The body cream is super thick, and really delivers on the moisture-check out the photos below.
And of course, I can NOT forget to give my lips a BIG dose of moisture. I have been ‘better’ at tending to my lips (a.k.a not waiting until they are cracked and dried out) since getting lip injections (tell me if you want to hear about that-interesting experience). This Lypsyl lip balm in Tropical Oasis moisturizes and soothes with coconut oil and provides long lasting protection against the environment. What I like most about this is how easily it glides over my lips, I don’t have to drag it.
And my feet…..probably the LAST thing I actually think about when the temperatures drop. I have promised myself (and made notes in my calendar) that THIS winter, I will be getting a pedicure once a month. In between, I’m going to remove dead skin with this insta-pedi (and of course follow up with my Calgon body cream and fluffy socks!). The Insta-Pedi will prevent my ripped tights and stockings by removing the dead, rough skin with its motorized roller-no scraping, no blades. Sounds good to me!
I’ve actually used the FINESSE MAX deep conditioning protein shot before and now that I’m wearing my extensions, it’s the perfect time to use it again! This weekly treatment delivers Keratin protein for stronger, healthier looking hair. With the extensions, I can use all the moisture I can get!
So if you spa at home, what’s your preferred routine and what products do you use? This is the kind of thing that I want to start doing on a regular basis. Let me know in the comments below!!
