My picks for Best Bronzers for Fair Skin

I honestly am so pale most of the year.  I used to think that I shouldn’t be allowed to bronze….that it would look orange or obviously fake.  So why should a pale girl use bronzer?  Well besides that we don’t want to blind people with our pale-ness, it’s a great way to look ‘healthy’ without the UV damage.

Here’s the thing-us pale gals CAN and SHOULD wear bronzer. It’s all about the proper products, formula, and tools for application.  When I wear bronzer, this is what I wear. In my opinion, these are the best bronzers & tools for fair skin. FYI I actually own all of these bronzers and recommend them for different reasons. Enjoy and let me know if you have tried any of these and what your thoughts are. Thanks for reading!

Best Brozers for Fair Skin

Housekeeping note-I am cool toned so while my bronzers are for ‘warming’ up my skin, they all are cool toned.  Bronzers that have a lot of warmth make me look orange.

My overall best bronzer pick-what I honestly wear almost every day

Best Bronzer: Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer

Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer in Fair is my all time favorite bronzer. It’s not the most inexpensive but honestly for fair skin and an all year bronze, it’s the way to go.  I love the color, it’s not shimmery and I can use it all year round. I apply more in the summer when I have (some) color/tan. The scent is coco-nutty goodness and I can not get enough.

Product Benefits

  • infused with Murumuru Butter; features ultra-refined pearl and soft-focus pigments that smooth skin texture, brighten skin tone.
  • Ultra-rich bronzer formula instantly melts into skin, sealing-in moisture to deliver instant and lasting hydration.
  • Packed with essential fatty acids and pro-vitamins that soften, condition and moisturize skin.

Feeling luxe?

Best Bronzer: Chanel Tan de Soleil

Chanel Tan de Soleil is your best bet. This is the ONLY cream bronzer I will ever use and I use this in the summer when I have some color on my skin. This blends perfectly and deposits a fair amount of color when applied with a brush. It is neither too warm nor too cool –it literally looks like you have been in the sun and gotten a tan.

Product benefits:

  • Velvety smooth and glides on (like a dream)
  • MATTE
  • Blends easily

On a budget?

Best Bronzer: NYC Sunny

Try NYC Sunny – this is a cult favorite of many beauty bloggers/vloggers/gurus. This is a no-nonsense powder that straight up DELIVERS and won’t make your wallet cry tears.

Product benefits:

  • Brightens skin tone for a natural, sun-kissed complexion
  • Ultra sheer effect
  • Dermatologist tested

Tools:

My favorite type of brush to use to apply bronzer (cream OR powder) is a duo-fiber brush.  I have put several brushes below-right now I use the MAC 187, but if you aren’t into that price point, try these below from top-bottom:

  • Duo Fiber Stippling Brush By Keshima
  • Sigma Beauty F50, Duo Fibre
  • Stippling Brush By Studio 5 Cosmetics

Another option for a bronzing brush is a Kabuki, I don’t have any that are necessarily ‘high’ end but I do like this brush from Matto.  When choosing a Kabuki, make sure you choose one that has some “flex” or “give” as you don’t want blotchy bronzer.
