Review-Disney Tsum Tsum Lip Smackers are cute, but do they work?

*I received these products for review

I don’t know many people who are not fans of Disney in some way, shape or form.  I grew up with Mickey & Minnie, Winnie the Pooh, and have continued to love the ‘newer’ Disney characters like Nemo, Dory, Buzz Lightyear, etc.  Last year, when I was shopping at Walmart, I found the Mickey & Minnie Tsum Tsum lip smackers and purchased them for a huge Disney fan, my mother.  I don’t think she has opened the packages as she is a collector and I get it.  These are absolutely adorable.  But I had to wonder, do these lip balms actually offer any type of benefits outside of amazingly cute packaging and the ability to stack them on top of each other…..and just in case you are wondering ‘tsum tsum’ translates to ‘stack-stack’ in Japanese.

What they are:

Bring the game to life with these stackable, collectible Tsum Tsum lip balms in yummy special edition flavors. Dome shaped lip balms stack with other Tsum Tsum Lip Smackers to create a tower of cuteness. Collect them all!

To use, twist the topper on the bottom to reveal the dome-shaped lip balm. Each of the four characters carries its own unique scent.

Chip & Dale:
Chip- Chocolate Chip flavor Dale- Kooky Oatmeal Cookie flavor

Eeyore:
Eeyore- Cheer Up Buttercup flavor

Thumper:
Thumper- Caramel Kisses flavor

I took Thumper out to try -here’s a closer look:

These products smell delicious, which I expect from Lip Smackers.  If you aren’t a fan of candy-flavored lip balms, have no fear because the scent is essentially unnoticeable once you apply to your lips.  What I wasn’t expecting was all the hydration.  It’s a plus for me that these products work to keep your lips soft and hydrated.  There is  no tint to these and they are a balm, so be prepared to reapply after eating or drinking. Another plus for me is that these aren’t greasy.

I do recommend these for the Disney lover in your life.  Although not the most practical, they definitely keep your lips looking their best.

Disney Tsum Tsum Lip Smackers are available for $5.95CAD  in mass market retail stores like Shoppers Drug Mart, Loblaws/Real Canadian Superstore. I’ve also seen them at Walmart.  These items are collectible and Limited Edition-they won’t be around forever!  Check out their website for even more options.

*Side note-I did go and look for these online outside of the website as the chip & dale & Thumper trio is out of stock on the website.  I was surprised to discover there are some very serious & dedicated Tsum Tsum lip smackers collectors out there-so if you are thinking about getting these and see them, I recommend picking them up when you see them versus having to resort to ebay.  Google it if you don’t believe me!
