First Impressions-beauty sponges from Real Techniques & Eco-Tools

I received these products for review.

I am a HUGE fan of the ‘original’ Real Techniques sponge (the orange one).  I’ve preferred it over the Beauty Blender for years mainly because of the flat side option on the sponge.  Real Techniques and Eco-Tools have come out with some new sponges, so I thought I would introduce them.

Real Techniques Miracle Sculpting sponge:

Honestly, I could use a miracle right now so if this it, then hooray.

Dewy Highlight + Contour

Designed to help create shadows or highlight your favorite facial features. Use damp for a dewy glow or dry for a full coverage finish

  • small side for precision highlighting
  • large side for controlled contouring

6 Surfaces to complete your sculpt.

  • replace every 1-3 months
  • latex-free

My thoughts- I don’t do an incredible amount of contouring, but maybe I will now that I have this sponge. Highlighting with a beauty sponge is brand spanking new to me, so I’ll give it a try but it makes me nervous.

Eco Tools Perfecting Blender Duo

The Large Base Blender is soft and flexible to create light, buildable makeup application. The Mini Detail Blender is firmer for more precise and detailed coverage.

Look and Live Beautifully with the unique EcoFoam Technology made of 70% plant based materials.

Use sponge wet or dry. When using wet, squeeze excess water until damp. Apply makeup in a “stippling” or “bouncing” motion to blend product into skin.

  1. Flat surface to apply product on large surface areas
  2. Round base to seamlessly blend lines
  3. Wedge-like tip to guide precise straight lines

My thoughts-I’ll be using these ASAP.  I love the idea of the flat surfaces and the fact that there is a big sponge and a little sponge is great, as my mini beauty blender is on its last legs.
