I received these products for review from Influenster.
Honestly in case you didn’t know, these perfumes aren’t new…..they launched 8 years ago and I bought a full sized bottle of sinner and used the entire thing. I absolutely loved ‘sinner’, and hated ‘saint’ -here they are in their ‘first version’ packaging:
Fast forward to now….I received an Influenster box with deluxe samples of both of these scents, and believe it or not I’ve done a complete about face.
I absolutely love saint. I think it’s because of the description below….it is soft and delicious.
“Meet Saint – dreamy, romantic and alluring, this candied floral fragrance is inspired by Kat’s own duality. Our fearless leader is tough and tattooed on the outside, but totally sweet at heart! This gourmand perfume fuses jasmine and Tiaré flower top notes with a delicious heart of mandarin, caramel, and sparkling Mirabelle plum. Vanilla, sandalwood, and creamy musk build to the romance of the fragrance, imparting a warmth that reminds Kat of falling in love for the very first time. Saint is a poetic exploration of the lesser-known, softer side of Kat Von D!”
“Meet Sinner — dark, sultry, and empowering, this addictive fragrance is inspired by Kat’s own duality. A little sweet, a little spicy, and undeniably fearless! Cinnamon spices up vanilla and white florals at the heart of the fragrance, while base notes of vetiver, patchouli, and wood form the deeper, darker nuances. Experience confidence in a bottle – Sinner is the fragrant embodiment of the edgy, unapologetic, and outspoken Kat Von D we know and love!”
Honestly I’m surprised I don’t like sinner….but I don’t. I think it’s the vetiver….never been a fan.
Apparently these can be worn on their own or layered together (to represent the 2 sides to every person) but I am so not a fan of sinner, that I’ve only been wearing saint. Compared to when these came out 8 years ago, I like Saint so much better. I think she should’ve left Sinner the way it was.
Or maybe it’s just me?
