#LetLifeIn-Herbal Essences bio:renew Dry Shampoo white grapefruit & mosa mint review

I received this product for review.

I’ve been a big believer in Dry Shampoo ever since the days of Psssssssst! that used to be for people in the hospital that couldn’t wash their hair.  As I’ve become an adult (or at least I play an adult on a daily basis) I’ve relied heavily on Dry Shampoo to get me through the work-week. I am the proud recipient of fine, oily hair -and if I were to not use Dry Shampoo, I’d be one of those ‘shampoo-daily’ types.  Since I also color my hair, I have learned that a daily wash is NOT for me-my frayed/split ends and incredibly dry hair taught me a lesson.  So I use Dry Shampoo.

I actually really like the Herbal Essences Naked Dry Shampoo-and keep a can at work for some extra ‘oomph.’  The White Grapefruit & Mosa Mint version is a bit different, mainly in scent and texture.  But it gets the job done, and I like it so okay.

From the website:

    • Crafted with bio:renew, a signature blend of essential antioxidants, aloe and sea kelp
    • NAKED Volume White Grapefruit & Mosa Mint Dry Shampoo has 0% parabens, gluten, and colorants
    • Dry Shampoo for lightweight body and a boost of scent
    • Experience the multi-layered scents of fresh squeezed citrus, clean mint, and velvety peach
  • Use alongside NAKED Volume White Grapefruit & Mosa Mint cleansing and styling products with bio:renew  (didn’t know these were a ‘thing’-will look into them).

What I like about this:

  • Bio:renew: blend of anti-oxidants, aloe, sea-kelp
  • no parabens
  • pleasant scent, fine mist
  • removes oil with no white cast

Should you buy it?

I feel like this is a loaded question….because if you are a dry shampoo person, you will ALWAYS have dry shampoo around.  Is this better than what you are currently using?  It could be. I recommend making the switch if you use a powder version of Dry Shampoo. I also recommend making the switch if you are using a very expensive brand of Dry Shampoo (very few are worth $60+/can).  Overall, I say yes.  This definitely absorbs oil and leaves my roots looking & feeling fresh.

One more thing-this bio: renew version comes in different fragrances-there’s also a Cucumber & Green Tea scent (which is right up my alley).
