#influenster Kat Von D Studded Creme Lipstick

Influenster was kind enough to send me the Kat Von D Studded Creme Lipstick in Lolita to review.  A few months back, they also sent me the lip liner (in Lolita as well) and I really enjoyed the liner.  While I appreciate everything that I receive to review, I absolutely hated this Lipstick.  Before I get to the reason(s) why, I’ll post the brand’s description.

Kat Von D Studded Creme Lipstick Lolita

From the website:

Introducing the new and reborn Studded Kiss Crème Lipstick, the creamiest, most cushiony and unbelievably pigmented lipstick to ever cross your lips.

Discover your new go-to color from Kat Von D’s biggest, boldest shade range. The collection includes 40 shades in 3 finishes (satin-matte, glimmer and metallic) featuring rich reds, bold berries, neutrals for every complexion and beloved Everlasting Liquid Lipstick shades, now in Studded Kiss. Or use “White Out” mixer, Kat Von D’s first-ever pure white long wear lipstick, to mix and customize your own perfect shades.

See and feel the difference instantly. Studded Kiss Crème Lipstick features a high-chroma content for pure, vivid color in a revolutionary new base formula that’s crystal clear, super-soft and virtually weightless. Made with smooth spherical pigments and lip-nourishing ingredients, it’s never been easier to coat your lips in creamy, comfortable color.

I am pleased to see so many shades and also am interested in the ‘White Out” mixer.  But honestly?  This is probably one of the most uncomfortable lipstick formulas I have ever worn.  I’m even going to make the claim that this is worse than a liquid lipstick (and we all know how drying those are).  Upon first application, I had to drag and press the lipstick into my lips-there was no gliding. It’s patchy and even after going over and over, I still didn’t get an even coverage.

The shade Lolita is SO not for me.  It washes me out -I’m super fair and it just does not work for me.  I can make the liner work because it’s liner but not this shade.

Overall this lipstick is a definite ‘NO’ for me.  I’m interested to hear your thoughts on this-am I missing out on some kind of hack for application?
