Holidays are magical with The Magic of Beauty-Caryl Baker Holiday 2013!

*This post contains products sent for review.  I like to state that first out of respect for my readers.  This doesn’t change my opinion of the products*

How could you NOT adore this holiday collection from Caryl Baker?

Let’s get a little bit closer, shall we?

New limited edition nail lacquers are high pigment, high shine and perfect finish in one swipe!  Available in 6 new shades (shade above is abracadbra).  I couldn’t capture this product’s true beauty but it’s a beautiful deep, rich color-which is right up my alley and on trend for fall heading into winter.

Retail: $15.00 CAD

Caryl Baker ultimate lip liner is long-wearing AND waterproof.  Creamy and soft, this pencil will glide easily over your lips and stay put! Available in 4 shades (shade above is Elixir).

Retail: $17.50 CAD

Caryl Baker Metallic-Toned Eye liners contain intense pigment in a long wear formula with no smudging or smearing.  Waterproof and hypo-allergenic for sensitive eyes.

I’ve talked about Caryl Baker lipsticks MANY Times in past posts/YouTube videos.  This shade is Secret potion and is absolutely stunning.

LIMITED_EDITION__5272bdcb53d53_250x300Caryl Baker Face frosting-I can not STOP talking about this.  It is the highlight of highlights in my opinion.  The sparkle is finely milled and won’t leave you looking overdone.  It’s an absolute MUST for holiday parties or sparkle-worthy occasions-although I like to sparkle everyday 😉

Retails:  $29.50 CAD

A product I didn’t expect to see-a bath treat from Bath Fairy. Looks good enough to eat, doesn’t it? I don’t recommend ingesting but I do recommend tossing this into your tub for your next bath!

Retails: $7.00 CAD

This just may be the gift for the beauty in your life…..if I had to pick my ‘stand-out’ product from the collection, it would definitely be the face frosting!!!

Let me know your thoughts about this collection in the comments below!

Caryl Baker Southwestern Beauty collection

Southwestern Beauty from Caryl Baker for Summer 2013:

Country Strong eye colours:  vibrant to look at but leave a natural, sheer finish.

Desert Darlings:  City Slickers lip gloss are sheer colour plus super shine and contain argan oil to moisturize dry, chapped lips.

Lazy Daze: Sun baked Bronzer is soft and smooth powder that gives a glow with a smooth natural sun kissed finish.

Simply put, this collection reminds me of an Arizona sky and art shows  or outdoor markets that feature art with lots of turquoise and coral, influenced by the landscape.  Aztec-ish perhaps…..

This is the collection you wear with your favorite denim.  What you wear when you want to look pulled together but not overly ‘done.’ It’s fresh and up to date without being pretentious and heavy.

I adore this collection and the quality of Caryl Baker products is comparable to MAC (in my opinion).  I’ve spoken on these products in other blog posts/videos.  Another plus is that this is a Canadian brand so you are sure to have access to a boutique!  This collection is most definitely swatch worthy so be sure to take a look.

Caryl Baker Oxygen facial breathes life into my skin!

If I had won the lottery like that psychic said I would, then I would certainly have taken a chunk of my winnings and devoted to finding the fountain of youth.

Thankfully, you don’t have to be a millionaire to treat your skin well!  Caryl Baker has introduced their oxygen facial and it is beyond worth it!

What Caryl Baker says about the treatment:

Indulge in a luxurious 60-minute treatment that combines the use of deeply hydrating collagen and cell boosting pure oxygen.  Fine lines and wrinkles are noticeable diminished.  Leaves your skin looking and feeling soft and rejuvenated.

My treatment was performed by the lovely Kiki and started off with a consultation.  Afterwards, I got a mini microdermabrasion then the oxygen facial commenced. My skin was thoroughly cleansed, masqued and then the oxygen was applied via airbrush. I also was treated to a hydrating collagen mask which really helped lock moisture into my skin. Afterwards, my skin felt clean and refreshed.  It looked like I had woken up from a restful slumber (which I really COULD use by the way-oh if only).

If you are anywhere near a Caryl Baker Visage, give them a call and book this treatment. It’s appropriate for all skin types and will make your skin feel AMAZING!

Stay tuned for a post with some of the items I purchased after my facial including a super duper eye cream that I swear by!

Makeup Basket Monday (and last week debrief)!

I am really starting to love these… should be interesting this go around. I am going to attempt to use my longwear makeup (Perfection Lumiere from Chanel). I have a very ‘varied’ basket this week-BB creams, high end foundation, asian products. Good times!
